f it’s Tuesday, it’s COFFEE4VETS Morning Breakfast Program every Tuesday about 80-100 veterans and friends meet at Crazy Otto’s Diner, 1228 W. Ave I, Lancaster, all Branches of Service gather to share a cup of coffee and good times while hearing information go back that’s fine. An array of service providers on how to live better. HONOR FLIER – HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIGHTING SAILOR – Fred Barthe, Lt. Cmdr. U.S. Coast Guard Ret. started his military career in the Navy during the Korean War when he was combat air crew in a Skyraider off a carrier deck. Fred Barthe is a stalwart full spectrum volunteer Coffee 4 Vets Vets 4 Veterans Antelope Valley Honor Flight Kern County and for other veteran community projects like The Mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall – AV Wall. Donna Carrion got the video of birthday well wishes at 90. Donna Carrion additional photos. Anthony Kitson another Korean War Era vet who served in Southeast Asia for most of the Vietnam War thanked Fred for getting him signed up for Honor Flight Kern County veterans travel all expense paid to Washington D.C.
