Coffee4VETS April 25, 2023 Announcements. ON MAJESTY’S SERVICE – The Royal Air Force and Royal Navy turned out today at Coffee4Vets. The NCOs of both service arms offered to be of service to the Antelope Valley communities. Troops of the United Kingdom have stationed at Edwards since 2014, including a Battle of Britain Squadron. Coffee4VETS April 4, 2023 Announcements. COFFEE4VETS RECOGNITION – Donors received recognition for providing Coffee 4 Vets with Java and snack support at the recent Air Show and Stem Exhibition at Edwards Air Force Base and Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home in Palmdale. Coffee4Vets Secretary and Honorary Edwards Commander Atherine Blanco presented recognition plaques to community leaders who donated, including McDonalds proprietor Marlon Lim Samson, Ventura Graphix owner Jorge Ventura and Sam Roman Silk Screening. Airborne veteran Juan Moreno was cheered for making two military parachute jumps from a C-47 with Liberty Jump Team and Airborne brother Dennis Anderson in Corsicana TX the first week of Spring 2023. Trooper Moreno has doing in his step showing veteran coffee buddies he could make it happen at 82. “It was on my bucket list,” Moreno said. Educator and Vietnam vet R Michael Dutton Sr. Continued tradition of late Korean War veteran Edward Galindo in distributing pocket copies of U.S. Constitution. Aerospace retiree and Vietnam veteran Jerry Vega shared his photo from Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. on recent Honor Flight. All at Coffee4Vets at Crazy Otto’s Restaurant on Avenue I every Tuesday 7-9 a.m. where host Jin Hur provides coffee for free and discounts breakfast for veterans. Click on the images to view gallery.
