There is no mystery why CA State Senator Suzette Valladares awarded Nonprofit Of The Year to the Blue Star Mother’s of the Antelope Valley. Through their efforts they have sent thousands of care and comfort packages out to active serve troops serving around the world for 20 years. In recent years through their untiring and consistent fundraising they have paid for headstone markers for veterans in unmarked rest at Lancaster Cemetery. They have cared for the youngest and honored the ones in eternity.
They do this with dignity, discipline and love. A notable sisterhood if ever there was. Blue Star Mothers are moms with sons and daughters in active service whether for a hitch or a career.
