Patriot Day hosted by Dr. Jennifer Zellet, AVC Superintendent & President at Antelope Valley College honoring “911 We Will Never Forget “ Ceremony” where close to 200 community members came out at 8am including our Law Enforcement, First Responders, Fire Department Academy, the Bagpiper, Chris Park and John Graves, Marine Corps League who carried out the 21 Gun Salute and Colors Pisted by AV HS Navy JROTC.
Juan Blanco, Founder and President Coffee4VETS was the keynote Speaker.
Tonight AV College hosting their first candlelight vigil at the campus Administration Flagpole and VFW Post 3000 Honor Guards presented Taps. Remembering all those that put others in front of their own lives to save. Each flags placed in the garden has the name of those on the flights that crashed. Continue to tell the story of 9-1-1. Continue to educate our young. As Juan said often, “There’s No Greater Love.”
There were some very touching moments of reflection at the vigil.
